Dinner Reception at the Japanese Embassy with Ambassador Hiramatsu & PHD Chamber on 22nd April, 2016

In an effort to promote the PHD Chamber’s efforts in strengthening bilateral ties amongst the two nations of India and Japan, IJC organised a dinner reception at the Japan Embassy on Friday, 22nd April, 2016. The event was organised keeping in mind the upcoming delegation being sent on behalf of PHD to Japan to facilitate business.

Along with H.E. Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador, Embassy of Japan was Mr. Akio Isomata, Minister (Economic & Development), Embassy of Japan and his team. Also present were senior representatives of Japanese companies already doing business in India as well as senior management from existing Indian companies

The Ambassador congratulated the Chamber for its efforts in promotion of business and economic ties between India and Japan. He assured the support of the Embassy in the initiatives of the Chamber to promote bilateral economic cooperation. He said that by way of inbound and outbound business delegations the path of doing effective business gets easier. He mentioned that the forthcoming business delegation from the PHD Chamber to Japan (Nagoya, Osaka & Tokyo) undertaken by IJC would serve as a catalyst between the two countries. While wishing success to the delegation he called for regular interactions between the business community of India and Japan.

Following him Mr. Gopal Jiwarajka, Senior Vice President, PHD Chamber gave a short speech conveying his gratitude. He shed light on the various sectors in which Indo-Japan ties are already existing strongly; citing them as precedents for further growth and development.

IJC Chariman Mr. Deepak Vasdev gave the closing remarks by stating how much the two nations have in common & how opportunities can be created keeping in mind the upcoming Tokyo Olympics in 2020.,/

The reception was followed by business interactions between the Indian and the Japanese executives.
